The Basics of Placer Mining

Jim Hutchings is returning to the Georgetown library on Saturday, September 20 at 1:00 with his informative talk “back to Basics in Placer Mining.” Jim will present a photo tour of the origins of placer gold deposits, location benches, terraces, and in-stream gold concentrations. This program is great for beginning panners, and also good for refreshing experienced miners and members of the general public who are interested in what the miners are looking for.
