MEES Invites you to a free EE Practitioner gathering taking place this fall funded by a generous grant from the North American Association for Environmental Education. The purpose of these gatherings is to come together with others who work in careers connected to environmental teaching and learning in order to build community, learn from one another, and just plain have fun in nature.
This gathering will include a basic tutorial on flint and steel fire building and we encourage both those who have never attempted this skill as well as those who would like to share their own fire making techniques. We will end with a campfire and friendly s'mores making competition as well as time to connect and enjoy the woods and pond at this location.
