Travis will be back in the shop for another ridiculously enjoyable "around the world" wine class! If you haven't been to one yet, they are A BLAST! And we always learn a ton.
This month we're talking about Malbec, the crown jewel of Argentina. Except.. they stole it from France. So come learn about Malbec with us! For this class we will taste our way through several expressions and styles from different areas of Argentina as well as the grape's original home of France.
We'll dive into the history of the wine, meet the characters who discovered (and stole!) it, discuss vineyard and production techniques, that mysterious concept of "terroir," and also find out why Malbec is still one of the few permitted red grapes in Bordeaux!
Tickets are $40/person which includes a guided tasting of 5 wines. Malbec-friendly munchies and bottled water included. Advanced reservations are required!
Limited seats available. As always, we'll have additional bottles from the tasting for sale that evening at 10% off the normal retail price.
