Jess Ross and Stories from the Heart of the Lone Star Chanteuse at the Doug Smith Performance Center

Jess Ross is a genre-blending powerhouse and former nonprofit executive who left the boardroom to take the stage full time—and never looked back. A Berklee College of Music alum who studied both Music Performance and Music Business Management (and later worked for the school), Jess spent the last five years leading and creating nationally recognized, trailblazing programming that bridged the digital divide and brought real resources to real people. Now, she's pouring that same fire into her music and the Central Texas music community.

Fresh off her transition into full-time artistry, Jess is quickly becoming one of Austin’s most talked-about voices—equal parts raw, radiant, and real. Stories from the Heart of the Lone Star Chanteuse is a one-night showcase of soul-bearing originals from her upcoming Heart Scars EP, woven together with timeless tunes from jazz, blues, pop, and country that all hold significant meaning for the singer herself.
