Creative Non-fiction writing workshop

Upcoming non-fiction writing workshop at the Georgetown Library!

Join me and my 15-year-old daughter, published author Simone Elias (Old Films, Young Eyes: A Teenage Take On Hollywood's Golden Age) for a course on memoir-style creative nonfiction.

How can we weave our personal experience into wider narratives in our writing? Creative nonfiction incorporates research-driven writing that springs from the real world, told with the emotionality of fiction. We will share their tips for nonfiction writing, along with prompts and exercises to get you started on a more personal approach to the story you want to tell.
