5th Annual Queenslake Mogadishu Mile Kentucky

For five years, Queenslake Horse Farm has been the proud host of the Mogadishu Mile, an annual event launched in 2021 to honor the 19 U.S. soldiers who fell in the Battle of Mogadishu on October 3-4, 1993.

The Mogadishu Mile salutes the Army Rangers, Delta Force operators, and special forces who ran a desperate mile to safety under fire, carrying their wounded—a story of “No One Left Behind” immortalized in Black Hawk Down. Queenslake interrupts our horse operations annually to open our gates, honoring these heroes while benefitting veteran charities.
