Seks is tegenwoordig minstens even digitaal als fysiek; we zijn interagerende algoritmes geworden. Kunnen we de code, die ons gevangenhoudt in beperkende patronen, kraken?
In de voorstelling Zero Feet Away onderzoeken theatermakers Tibau Beirnaert & Laurens Aneca de rol van hookup apps. Ze kijken naar hoe deze apps zowel de mogelijkheden als de beperkingen van moderne technologie laten zien. Ze vragen zich af of de apps kunnen bijdragen aan een nieuw regime van verlangens en of ze traditionele, heteronormatieve structuren kunnen doorbreken.
Het verhaal wordt verteld vanuit het perspectief van een shapeshifter die hunkert naar seks en intimiteit. Om deze te ervaren, maakt het wezen gebruik van hookup apps. Vindt de shapeshifter, die louter spiegelt wat anderen van hen verlangen, uiteindelijk hun eigen vorm(en)?

In the performance Zero Feet Away, theatre makers Tibau Beirnaert & Laurens Aneca explore the impact of hookup apps. They delve into how these apps reveal both the possibilities and the constraints of modern technology. They question whether the apps can create a new landscape of desires and challenge traditional, heteronormative structures.
The story is told from the perspective of a shapeshifter who craves sex and intimacy. To fulfill these longings the creature turns to hookup apps. Does the shapeshifter, who merely mirrors what others demand of them, eventually find their own form(s)?
