IQRA – De Zeven Poorten van de Innerlijke Reis is een hedendaagse tentoonstelling die de bezoeker uitnodigt tot een innerlijke reis, geïnspireerd door de rijkdom van islamitische kunst en spiritualiteit.
Iqra — het eerste woord dat in de Koran werd geopenbaard — betekent meer dan alleen ‘lees’. Het is een oproep tot bewustwording, een eerste stap in de innerlijke reis van de mens. Iqra nodigt uit tot zelfreflectie, het zoeken naar waarheid en het vinden van harmonie tussen hart en verstand.
De tentoonstelling IQRA brengt kunst, spiritualiteit en culturen samen in een ervaring die uitnodigt tot reflectie, verbinding en zingeving. Via zeven symbolische poorten ontvouwt zich het verhaal van de menselijke zielsreis, verbeeld door kunst. Elke poort nodigt uit om met hart en zintuigen stil te staan bij de grote vragen van het bestaan. Zo raakt de tentoonstelling het verstand, de ziel en het gevoel van elke bezoeker, ongeacht religie, afkomst of achtergrond.
Zestien kunstenaars dragen met hun eigen unieke perspectief bij aan dit gelaagde verhaal. De tentoonstelling wordt gecureerd door Maide Taslidere en gerealiseerd in samenwerking met vzw Amarant en Zebrastraat.

IQRA – The Seven Gates of the Inner Journey is a contemporary exhibition that invites the visitor on an inner journey, inspired by the richness of Islamic art and spirituality.
"Iqra" — the first word revealed in the Qur'an — means more than just "read." It is a call to awareness, a first step in the human inner journey. Iqra invites reflection, the search for truth, and the quest for harmony between heart and mind.
The IQRA exhibition brings together art, spirituality, and culture in a multilayered experience that encourages reflection, connection, and the search for meaning.
Through seven symbolic gates, the story of the human soul's journey unfolds, portrayed through art. Each gate invites visitors to pause with heart and senses, contemplating the great questions of existence, thus touching the mind, soul, and emotions of every visitor, regardless of religion, origin, or background.
Sixteen artists contribute to this layered narrative with their own unique perspectives. The exhibition is curated by Maide Taslidere and brought to life in collaboration with vzw Amarant and Zebrastraat.

IQRA – İçsel Yolculuğun Yedi Kapısı, İslam sanatının ve maneviyatının zenginliğinden ilham alan, ziyaretçiyi derin bir içsel yolculuğa davet eden çağdaş bir sergidir.
"Ikra" — Kur’an’da ilk vahyedilen kelime — yalnızca “oku” anlamına gelmez; aynı zamanda farkındalığa bir çağrıdır. Bu kelime, insanın içsel yolculuğundaki ilk adıma işaret eder. Ikra, öz farkındalığa, hakikatin arayışına ve kalple akıl arasında bir denge kurmaya davet eder.
IQRA sergisi, sanat, maneviyat ve kültürleri bir araya getirerek ziyaretçiyi düşünmeye, bağ kurmaya ve anlam arayışına yönelten çok katmanlı bir deneyim sunar. Yedi sembolik kapı aracılığıyla, insan ruhunun yolculuğu sanatla anlatılır. Her kapı, varoluşun büyük soruları karşısında kalp ve duyularla durup düşünmeye çağırır; böylece ziyaretçinin aklına, ruhuna ve duygularına dokunur — dini, kökeni ya da geçmişi ne olursa olsun.
On altı sanatçı, bu çok katmanlı hikayeye kendi özgün bakış açılarıyla katkı sunar. Sergi, Maide Taşlıdere küratörlüğünde, vzw Amarant ve Zebrastraat işbirliğiyle hayata geçirilmektedir.
