Dearest Gentle Reader,
The social season is upon us… and it would seem there is to be a rather exquisite conundrum unfolding in our fair city. Rumors swirl. One cannot help but notice whispers of an event so refined, so alluring, that even the most highly regarded members of our dear ton may find themselves positively undone.
Be it shame or slander, seduction or smear, there is but one thing that humbles us all… a scandal. And a scandal, my friends, is very much on the horizon.
On April 25th at 11 o’clock in the morning, ladies of distinction are summoned to gather at the most splendid Genoa Civic Theater, located at 509 Main Street, Genoa, Ohio 43430, where elegance, intrigue, and a touch of delicious impropriety shall reign supreme.
Your all-inclusive ticket shall entitle you to delights of the highest taste, including:
– An English tea brunch fit for the most discerning palate
– A beautiful English teacup to take home as a cherished keepsake
– A make-and-take loose leaf tea experience
– A guided silkscreen painting, created by your own hand under the direction of an artist
– A lesson in proper le bon ton (etiquette), for every lady of the ton must always be prepared
– Dance cards, which shall also serve as your door-prize ticket, where fortune may very well fall in your favor 🎟
Well situated within our dear ton, the theater itself shall captivate the very ambiance and elegance one would desire, dazzling the eye and stirring the spirit. As splendid melodies from the beloved Bridgerton soundtrack fill the air, guests will be immersed in an atmosphere of romance, refinement, and delightful intrigue—music fit to stir hearts and set the scene just as it should be.
Social hour may spark hearsay… or dare I mention—the spilling of the tea.
From the moment you arrive, rest assured—there shall be no wallflowers in this grand playhouse. Everyone will be a part of this fine day.
The Queen herself makes her rounds, paying swift mind to all that unfolds. Oh yes… rumors may play a speedy part in who ultimately receives the crown. Do remember—we are all ladies alike. Whether spinster or debutante, esteemed matron or rising star, make no mistake: this affair is designed to have you whispering abound.
And of course… the crowning of the Diamond of the Season. Whomever she may be.
This affair, reserved solely for ladies, shall continue until approximately 3 p.m., though one suspects the chatter—and speculation—will linger far longer.
Attire, dear reader, is of the utmost importance. Guests are strongly encouraged to dress as though they have just paid a visit to their modiste—Regency-inspired elegance, romantic details, and undeniable flair are most certainly expected.
Mark my words—this will be the talk of the ton. You must make haste in securing your ticket. Space is limited, and such an event is not one that waits patiently. One would hate for you to miss out and be left relying on second-hand whispers.
