Chicago Shape Note Singers will put on a workshop as part of the Fox Valley Folk Fest on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, August 31, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Please note that this singing is no longer located at Island Park. Instead, it is at the lovely Wheeler Park, 822 North 1st Street, Geneva IL 60134.
We will sing from the 1991 Denson revision of The Sacred Harp. Loaners will be available.
We can start earlier if singers want, and you can stay for the many good acts that follow as part of the Folk Fest.

Performers are asked to park in the South lot on the grass, or in the residential streets south of the Park, should the grass lot be filling up.

- Enter from Rt. 31 → Stevens Street → Wheeler Drive (look for the Red Parking Flag).
- Continue past the maintenance buildings.
- Volunteers will direct you.
- Reserved performer/volunteer parking is in the grass lot on the left.
- Shuttles run continuously (9am – 1pm) from this lot to Performer Check-In at the Pavilion (~200 yards north along the paved path).

Check-In will be at the Pavilion
** EACH DAY when you arrive, please check in at Hospitality and pick up your name badge. We use this to verify that all performers are on site for their stages. This is the shuttle drop-off point from the parking lot.
** EACH DAY, prior to leaving the Festival site, please return your name badges to hospitality. This allows us to check you in on the second day, too, and then reuse them for future festivals.
