2-day art camp program | Come to one or join us for both!
Dive into two days of colourful, hands-on art inspired by the fascinating creatures and environments beneath the waves. Guided by local creatives Natalie Iacono and Luke Matthews, young artists will explore Australia’s underwater world through playful, imaginative, and delightfully messy artmaking.
Day 1: Creatures of the Ocean
Tuesday 6 January · 9:30am–1:30pm
Discover some of Australia’s most iconic native sea life — from the common flathead and Australian salmon to the mesmerising blue-ringed octopus. Young artists will create their own 2D sea creature while exploring shape, pattern, and colour through collage, paint, printmaking, and mixed media. Perfect for kids who love experimenting with materials and learning about marine life.
Day 2: Construct Your Own Underwater World
Wednesday 7 January · 9:30am–1:30pm
Step into the world beneath the waves as we explore native underwater habitats — from Port Phillip Bay’s seagrass meadows home to the Weedy Sea Dragon to the surf coast hunting grounds of the great white shark. Kids will build their own underwater diorama using recycled materials, construction techniques, and modelling fun to bring their unique marine environment to life.
Both workshops are led by Natalie and Luke, who bring rich experience in art education, creativity, and nature-inspired learning. Whether your child comes to one day or both, they’ll enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, imaginative making, and plenty of creative mess!
$90 per day 4 -hour workshops includes all materials.
$175 for both days (save $5)
Small group artist led workshop, please bring your lunch, named water bottle, hat and wear clothes to get messy.
