Akademickie Centrum Języka Polskiego i Kultury Polskiej dla Cudzoziemców UG oraz Centrum Zrównoważonego Rozwoju UG we współpracy z Uniwersytetem w Utrechcie zapraszają na
Interdyscyplinarne Sympozjum „Baltic Waterscapes: Entanglements in Natureculture”, które odbędzie się w dniach 13-14 października 2025 r. na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim.
W nadbałtyckim Trójmieście zamierzamy zastanowić się nad powiązaniami natury i kultury — w jej szerokim rozumieniu wyznaczanym przez pojęcie natureculture Donny Haraway — ze szczególnym naciskiem na dzisiejsze symboliczne, materialne i polityczne znaczenie wody. Pragniemy, by sympozjum służyło stworzeniu przestrzeni do interdyscyplinarnego dialogu z udziałem filozofów, socjologów, geologów, badaczy literatury i kultury, filologów, kuratorów, artystów i przedstawicieli instytucji kulturalnych i organizacji pozarządowych.
Wystąpienia w języku polskim lub języku angielskim.
Sympozjum odbędzie się w budynku Biblioteki Głównej Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego (teren kampusu, ul. Wita Stwosza 53).

Academic Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners of the University of Gdańsk and the Centre for Sustainable Development of the University of Gdańsk in cooperation with the University of Utrecht would like to invite you to
the Interdisciplinary Symposium "Baltic Waterscapes: Entanglements in Natureculture", which will be held on 13-14 October 2025 at the University of Gdańsk.
Situating ourselves at the Baltic coast, we aim to reflect on the entanglements of nature and culture at large — what Donna Haraway calls natureculture — with a particular emphasis on the symbolic, material, and political significance of water today. This symposium offers a space for interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together philosophers, sociologists, geologists, scholars of literature and culture, philologists, curators, artists, and representatives from cultural institutions and NGOs.
The symposium will be held at the Main Library of the University of Gdańsk (campus area, ul. Wita Stwosza 53).
