How do you organise your own work into a collection?
What are the tips?
Should you follow a theme or … what?
What should you include?
What structure should you follow?
At the end of this workshop, participants should come away with ideas that work for them about how to bring together their writing into a solid, completed collection.
Matt Potter has been born and raised in Adelaide, and has published two short story collections, a novella, a travel memoir, three activity resources for English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers, and under a pseudonym, a collection of gay erotica. As an editor and publisher, he has, since 2011, published 136 books (including many anthologies), by thousands of writers from across the English-speaking world. This has been under three imprints, of which Pure Slush is the best known. Matt has earned a proper income by being a social worker (in many roles and communities), worked in early childhood education, in media and communications, and now, again, as an English as a Second Language teacher. He also speaks poor German, but with a good accent.
Cost: $30 / $25 conc.
