Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist Melanie Clayfield invites you to the serene setting of True North Yoga for a morning of learning about and connecting to your core and pelvic floor through breath, biofeedback, targeted stretches and exercise flows.
This 2-hour practical workshop involves exploration of:
đ« Breathing patterns and unlocking restrictions through the diaphragm, rib cage and core
đ« How the core and pelvic floor work together to function in synchronicity
đ« Common musculoskeletal and pelvic floor muscle dysfunction patterns + how to address them
đ« Different ways to queue pelvic floor and core contraction and relaxation
đ« Optional 1:1 assessment of your pelvic floor contraction + relaxation through trans-abdominal real time ultrasound (*this is not a diagnostic tool)
Following the educational and hands on component of this workshop, a short pilates based movement flow will be held to put all of the above into practice.

This workshop is suitable for all genders, however please note, the anatomical component of this workshop will focus on the biological female pelvic floor.

Note: to get the most out of this workshop, participants must be able to get on/ off the floor and feel comfortable kneeling on their hands and knees.
