Here’s some quick facts:
- Gawler services 90,000 people and that number growing fast
- We have higher than average rates of childhood adversity and mental health conditions for the population
- We have NO private Psychiatry or Paediatric services
- We have NO Public Paediatric service
- We have one amazing Psychiatrist Registrar FT and one Psychiatrist 0.2 FT in Public sector
To attract services, we need an appropriate central centre.
We are working to rehabilitate the old Convent for this purpose, which will be run not for profit, to minimise costs for patients.
I invite you to join me in helping to give hope to those who are losing theirs.
