Daytime Stargazing

Learn about our closest star, the Sun, and our natural satellite, the Moon, before stepping outside and taking a closer look at our celestial neighbors through special telescopes in the middle of the day! We will use a hydrogen-alpha solar scope to safely study sunspots and solar flares, and a large Dobsonian telescope to get an up-close view of lunar craters.
