After hearing our National Action Network President this weekend, I reflected on Genesis 25:29, when Esau traded his birthright out of hunger. That lesson still applies today. Too often, people trade values, history, and responsibility for temporary gain. As Scripture says, “There is nothing new under the sun.”
My grandparents were sharecroppers from Mississippi, and because I remember where I come from, I will always serve my community.
