Join us for our Annual Pie Baking Contest.
Rules:
Check in with pies is from 5:30pm to 6:15pm at the Grange Hall.
Kids Division is 14 and Under
Open Division is 15 and Up
NEW this year a Gluten Free Division which will go by the same age categories.
PIES-
Pies must be made with fruit or nuts or a non custard or cream pie. For example a Chess Pie is not a custard or a cream but could be accepted same with like a brownie Pie.
Pumpkin is considered a custard Pie.
CRUST- one of the most important elements of the pie! You can have a single or double crust, homemade. You can definitely have a crumble topping and also be creative, try a flavored crust! Crust will be judged in this contest.
Filling must be homemade, no canned fillings.
Must use a disposable pan.
Judging Guidelines will be on Crust, Presentation (start practicing that crust artwork) and Taste.
Gluten Free guidelines are the same. There will be specific judges that are Gluten Free and know how GF items taste and consistency.
More than one entry is accepted!
Winners will be announced after judging.
