ABOUT AshLeigh Dunham: A Huntsville native, AshLeigh earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. AshLeigh and her family are members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood. She lives in the Birmingham area with her husband, Jonathan, and their daughter Aria.AshLeigh Meyer Dunham is a distinguished legal professional with a career rooted in service to Alabama families. She serves as a Referee in Jefferson County’s Juvenile Court, where she adjudicates sensitive family and juvenile matters with fairness, clarity, and compassion. Her work creates stability for children and families facing crisis, drawing on years of experience handling complex legal issues with a steady, principled approach. AshLeigh is also a practicing Fertility Attorney at Magic City Fertility Law. Her expertise in this area is deeply personal: AshLeigh and her husband welcomed their daughter through IVF, but had to leave Alabama to access the care they needed to start their family. As an attorney, AshLeigh helps individuals and couples navigate the legal complexities of assisted reproduction so they can start and grow their families too. ABOUT Dakarai Larriett: Son of a U.S. Army veteran, successful entrepreneur, longtime community volunteer, Dakarai Larriett is an Alabama native, committed to serving the citizens of his home state. An honors student at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, Dakarai earned a full scholarship at the University of Alabama, where he studied business and economics, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Subsequently, he became a corporate leader, a business owner and candidate for U.S. Senate. In addition to his volunteer work with United Way, Meals on Wheels and the Humane Society, Dakarai leads the board representing the 60 families and businesses located in the Mercantile on Morris, a mixed-use development in downtown Birmingham. “I love my home state, and my hometown. I love our culture, our history, and our quality of life. Most of all, I love the people.” A longtime gun hobbyist, Dakarai can often be found Saturdays at the nearby shooting range, and on Sundays at First United Methodist — where he’s a regular attendee.
