Please join us for the dedication ceremony of the long awaited
Idaho Women Veterans Memorial.
This memorial reflects our commitment to honor the service and sacrifice of Idaho local, CPL Carrie L. French, as well the valuable contributions of all Idaho women who have bravely served in the U.S. military.
Ceremony Information:
The ceremony will take place at the
Idaho State Veterans Cemetery,
10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd,
on the lower level between the columbarium walls.
*Parking is limited so if you are coming in a group, please consider carpooling.
The opening ceremony will begin at 11:00am followed by speakers from
Idaho Division of Veterans Services Mark Tschampl,
The Idaho Veterans Garden founder Danny Pugmire,
and the author of the story 'Marbles', Marisa McCarter.
The unveiling will be performed by women veterans from era's of service WWII to present day.
Finally, we will hear directly from world renowned artist and creator of the memorial, Benjamin Victor.
