All welcome to join our storytelling evenings of this summer season with Rosemary Georgeson, family and friends.
📅 August 29, September 12, September 26 @ 7:00 PM
📍 Yellowhouse Art Centre, Galiano Island
This special gathering marks the beginning of a series dedicated to sharing voices, histories, and cultural traditions rooted in the lands and waters of where we live, what is now called Galiano Island.
Hosted in a spirit of respect & reconciliation, each of these evenings will bring together Indigenous families, storytellers, knowledge keepers and community members in a circle.
Come for the stories, stay for the tea —everyone is welcome as we listen, learn, and share together.
This event is free to attend. Tea and snacks will be served. (donations welcome)
This storytelling evening is being hosted on the unceded, asserted & shared traditional territories of Penelakut, Lamalcha, Hwlitsum and other Hul’qumi’num and SENĆOŦEN speaking peoples, Coast Salish Peoples of Galiano, as well as the ceded territories of Tsawwassen First Nation, on what is now known as Galiano Island.
Supported by CRD Arts & Culture, Galiano Parks and Recreation Commission, BC Arts Council and the Province of British Columbia.
