Imagine the voice of Sara Bareilles mixed with the honesty of Joni Mitchell and the poetic lyricism of Ani DiFranco. Rebecca Berlin fuses the storytelling of folk with jazzy chords, unique lyric and song structures, and elements of musical theater. Honest, raw, and pleasantly quirky, she blends piano and guitar with captivating vocals. Audiences will get the chance to take a musical tour of the heart, its complexities, desires, the questions it asks and the answers it gets-both joyful and difficult. Expect lyrics that make you pause and pay attention, melodies that wrap you up in the moment and an authentic heart to heart conversation.
When not playing and writing music, you can find Rebecca dancing (ballet and modern), teaching (Pilates/yoga/gyrotonic), overthinking (shocker) and accidentally yet consistently surprising people by being a petite girl in a dress who drinks whiskey neat, and oscillates fluidly between the world of wide-eyed Disney princess and sarcastic, angsty adult. She has released 3 EPs; Anatomy of a Breakdown (2004), Grief Triptych (2023), Musings (2024) and her full length album, “Questions and Answers” is coming in Winter 2025. Rebecca is a winner of MASC accolades for both song (2023) and video (2024) content, 2024 WAMMY nominee, Focus Music’s 2024 Rising Artist Award Recipient and Winner of the 2024 South Florida Folk and Acoustic Music Festival Songwriter Competition.
