RisuCon 2025

RisuCon is Montgomery County’s Comic Con; an anime and cosplay event for the whole family. RisuCon will be held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, a huge facility with tons of free parking and enormous fair buildings.

RisuCon will have vendors, anime screenings, cosplay contests, free themed group photo shoots, a game room with tournaments, a kids (of all ages) activity area, a cosplay maker space, panels, and weather permitting: an awful lot of outdoor fun. Yes, this is dress up day for the whole family, from the smallest baby Yoda to big brother and sister Spiderman and Spider Gwen, and teen hashira demon slayers with Wonder Woman mom and Mr Incredible dad; BRING IT.

Why RisuCon? Risu means squirrel in Japanese. Japan is the source of so much of our fandom and inspiration, and… there are a LOT of squirrels in Maryland.
