This September, discover the wild side of your own backyard at Elachee! Every Saturday (except Sept. 13), we’re highlighting the amazing animals and plants that may be living just outside your door.
Through hands-on activities, up-close encounters, and guided programs, you and your family will learn how to identify, support, and protect the wildlife that calls Georgia home.
Highlights:
🐾 Live Animal Encounters – Meet our resident animal ambassadors—like snakes and turtles—and learn how to spot their wild relatives in your own neighborhood.
🐝 Make Your Own Backyard Bee Boxes – Build a cozy home for pollinators and learn how you can help bees thrive in your yard.
🍂 Leaf Press Making – Collect local leaves on a guided exploration and turn them into a beautiful, preserved keepsake.
📸 Family Fun – Perfect for all ages—spend meaningful time together while making your outdoor spaces more wildlife-friendly.
