The Costume Contest will be held at the Farmers Market at 3:30 PM and winners will be announced at 3:45 PM. The divisions are:
0-3 years old
4-7 years old
8-12 years old
12-18 years old
Best Costume - Adult
Best Costume - Group
Participating merchants downtown will be given a Scare on the Square flyer to display in their window. Downtown merchants are also encouraged to participate in the window decorating contest. *This contest is only for businesses located in the Downtown District.* The photo your business submits for the contest will be placed on the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. The photo with the most “likes” will win $200! The voting will close on Friday, October 31st at 5pm and the winner will be announced on Monday, November 3, 2025.
For businesses not located in the Downtown District, we will have booth spaces available for $50 at the Gainesville Farmers Market for your business to participate and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.
