Join us as Jim Kilgore gives us a look at the illustrious life of Julius Rosenwald, Sears CEO/owner and 20-year member of the Tuskegee board. Hear about his influence in education and Rosenwald schools in and around our area. 📚
Here’s a little-known fact: Rosenwald helped build 5,000 African American schools throughout the South, including in Etowah and adjacent counties. At one point, 40 percent of Black children in the South attended Rosenwald schools.
