Mushroom farming is an emerging high-value opportunity for farmers and agribusiness leaders in Botswana and the region.
On *Saturday October 11 2025 MFK Gardens Centre will host its **Mushroom Farming Workshop* at our Mmopane campus.
The session will be led by Mr. Peter Shame Ngorosha an experienced producer and *Chairperson of the Botswana Mushroom Farmers Association (BMFA)* giving participants both technical training and direct insights into industry linkages.
Participants will gain:
– Understanding of mushroom biology varieties and markets
– Technical skills for substrates spawning and fruiting
– Best practices for pest and disease management
– Techniques for harvesting packaging and storage
– Marketing strategies and an introduction to the role of BMFA in supporting producers
