In this immersive workshop style weekend you will:
*Learn the history, biomechanics and purpose of piaffe as a tool to open the door to every other dressage movement
*Introduce the lost art of basic in hand work, which is a powerful tool for building piaffe, teaching every movement from the ground and is also used for rehab and conditioning
*Learn Long lining techniques to teach collection and half steps
*Learn tools for training piaffe from multiple classical texts (La Gueriniere, Nuno Olivera, Pluvinel, Baucher, etc) to best teach the particular breed and style of horse you have- learn how each approach was developed to suit different breeds and temperaments
*Practice ridden and assisted ridden techniques that are kind and do not cause stress
*Most importantly, incorporate joy and creativity into the time you spend with your horse
