The Carozza Russell Duo

ABOUT THE CAROZZA RUSSELL DUO — The Carozza Russell Duo gives audiences a close look at two orchestral instruments, the oboe and the double bass. Their performances include Classical, Jazz, and Contemporary repertoire.

ABOUT JUSTIN G. RUSSELL — Justin G. Russell Jr. is a double bassist, composer, and Navajo silversmith. Ensembles include the Grand Junction Symphony, Mariachi San Jose, and various chamber groups. His compositions reflect the influence of his Navajo ancestry.

ABOUT NICK CAROZZA — Nick Carozza is an oboist, composer, and DMA student at UNLV. Recent accomplishments include winning the 2025 Nevada state and Southwest regional MTNA Young Artist Woodwind competition and the 2025 UNLV Symphony Orchestra concerto competition. His teachers include Dr. Stephen Caplan, Dr. William Aikens, and Dr. Mary Lindsey Bailey.
