Mr. Gnome is a Cleveland-based art-rock duo composed of Nicole Barille (vocals/guitar) and Sam Meister (drums/piano), known for their genre-defying sound and immersive audiovisual storytelling. Since 2005, they've carved out a cult following with their cathartic live shows and DIY aesthetic, blending elements of psychedelic rock, electronica, punk, and desert noir into a dense, cinematic tapestry. Their latest album, A Sliver of Space (2024), dives deep into themes of grief, transformation, and surreal introspection, shaped by personal loss and life upheaval. Mixed by Claudius Mittendorfer (Interpol, Temples), the record showcases hypnotic anthems and dreamlike sonic journeys, with Barille’s golden harmonies threading through spectral textures and explosive crescendos. Mount Pom and the Storm is a quirky alternative/power pop band based in Frostburg and Baltimore, Maryland, known for their whiplash arrangements, introspective melodies, and mathy, genre-bending jams that remain catchy and emotionally resonant2.
