Auditions for "As You Like It"

I am very pleased to announce Jordan River's Christmas Show!

This Christmas, we are returning to our beloved Shakespeare with a special production of the Bard's comedy As You Like It, reformatted for Christmastime! Directed by the team of myself, Cece Marsh, and Mary Clare Cowan, we are planning a show with a dusting of Christmas magic and miracles, containing nods to favorite holiday stories--including the Most Important One. And we hope and pray that our show will involve the live music of beloved Christmas carols. So if you or someone you know plays accordion, violin, flute, or any other instruments, please audition and invite others to do so.

You can find the details of roles and line counts at our website - we will be updating these as we finish cutting the show (we are not going to do the whole 3.5 hour show the Bard wrote). And yes, since this will be performed during the Christmas season with rehearsals throughout the holidays, we are anticipating accommodating everyone's holiday schedules for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, so if you are planning on being out of town or having company during any of those events, don't let that stop you from auditioning.

We are excited to bring Rosalind, Orlando, Touchstone, Jaques, and some of Shakespeare's classic characters to our audience this Christmas season. So please come out for auditions, and we are extremely grateful for your sharing this audition opportunity with actors, singers, and musicians you know. We'd also like to find someone willing to videotape this unique performance to spread it to an even wider audience.
