Description:
As the clocks fall back and we enter the liminal period of Samhain, come and take a peek behind the veil and meet the Witches of Selwood. Drawing on research from the author and historian Andrew Pickering, we will visit one of their haunts and hear how the Selwood Witchhunts nearly became one of the most extreme, yet lesser known, in English history.
What significance does Samhain hold for modern day witches? Embracing the themes of this potent time, and in remembrance of all those who were persecuted in witchhunts, we will hold a short and simple ceremony - whilst this will be led by a pagan ceremonialist, it is inclusive of all faiths and none.
