Join us to get your week started with a jolt of creativity as we hear from artists and friends during Tiny Talks on the second Sunday of the month.
Rebecca Kelly is a storyteller, visual artist and curator. She recently moved to Upper Black Eddy from New York City. She works as a teaching artist at Lehigh University Art Galleries, Young Audiences of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, ArtsQuest, formerly known as the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, Penn., and is on the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Roster.
Rebecca is a gifted visual artist who specializes in book and textile arts. Her work has been exhibited at the Lehigh University Art Galleries, Lafayette College Art Galleries, the Philadelphia Museum of Art Library, South Haven Arts Center in Michigan, Hyde Park Arts Center in Chicago, Hunterdon Art Museum Members Show and St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn. Rebecca curated the award-winning Bucks County Community ArtMobile from 2009 to 2011, transFORMations: Art Made from Recycled and Reused Materials, which was viewed by over 40,000 individuals.
Since moving to Pennsylvania, Rebecca forages for barks, flowers, nuts, weeds and uses materials from her garden and other local flower farmers in her natural dye and natural watercolor practice. She embroiders florals on bundle dyed silk and makes marks on handmade paper with natural inks and watercolors.
The talk is free and begins at 11 AM. Afterwards, browse our galleries to see our summer exhibitions alongside fellow art lovers.
