Radon in the Rocks: The Geology behind Lung Cancer Risk in Atlantic Canada
Thursday October 16th 6-8pm ADT
Join us for an evening of information and activities exploring
connections between geology and health!
With a presentation by distinguished Geoscience Educator, Toon Pronk
The potential for radon in your home can be determined by looking at the rocks your home is built on! For radon to cause significant health risk there are multiple contributing factors. The only way to know for certain that your home meets Health Canada guidelines is by testing the air, and the time to do that is now!
Fortunately, if your results are above the risk guideline, there are solutions and programs that you can tap into to remedy the situation. Come find out the ins and outs of where radon occurs and how it travels within the environment, and the risk it poses to your health!
