HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
• How to use common tools: Mitre saw, bandsaw, router, handsaws, chisels, cordless drill and more.
• Safety in the workshop: Learn how to complete projects with confidence and safety in mind.
• Create two projects: We will be completing two simple projects, which you will be able to take home!
• Joinery: Learn to fashion a variety of joints between wood pieces.

INSTRUCTOR
Clare Tahershamsi
She has a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Bachelor of Education from UNB. She is a former vocational woodshop teacher in Anglophone West School District (AWSD) as well as Anglophone School District South (ASDS). Clare is an avid handyperson with excellent carpentry skills. Clare is currently employed as a Workplace Essential Skills (WES) instructor at the Multicultural Association of Fredericton (MCAF) and teaches other courses around the community.
COST
$255 (+15% HST) per Learner
All materials are included in the cost of this program.
Refunds & Cancellation Policy
$80 of the fee is non-refundable, due to administrative costs.
If a request for a refund is made 21 days (or more) before the course begins, the program fee minus $80 will be provided.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor, facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants.
Cancellations due to weather
In-person classes will only be cancelled if weather conditions are quite serious.
If a class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following week (unless otherwise specified).
