This workshop is designed for homeowners, landscape designers, glassblowers, and adventurous creators who want to try something new.
During this three-day workshop (Nov. 5–7) participants will be guided to build their own solar-powered hydroponic planter wall, and help blow some of the glass flowers to decorate it in this VERY hands-on workshop.
At the end of the workshop, participants will go home with a truly one-of-a-kind garden feature for their own home or for inclusion in their clients’ landscapes that will wow their friends, family and clients.
Marc Kornbluh has been developing hydroponic growing systems for more than 10 years and working to perfect this wall planter for more than a year. This workshop is being premiered in Fredericksburg.
Kornbluh has spent more than 30 years innovating in both borosilicate and soft glass and is also the founder of High Volume Oxygen (used by glassblowers, horticulturists and veterinarians worldwide). Featured at the 2021 Glass Art Society international conference for his groundbreaking lathe technique, Kornbluh is a sought-after educator whose instructional videos reach glassblowers worldwide. His award-winning work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the country and is included in notable collections such as that of Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s. Nebraska’s Sheldon Museum of Art recently showcased his art in “Surrealism: Fantastic Realities” alongside Salvador Dalí, Max Ernst, and Man Ray.
Cost of this hands-on workshop is $2,500, plus $375 for materials (most tools provided; we'll send you the list of common tools to bring after registration).
Space is limited to 4 building groups. Register by October 21, 2025 to secure your spot.
