Pickers Anonymous is made up of Nicholas Edward Williams, Owen Grooms, and John Benjamin Davis — three musicians steeped in the traditions of Appalachian string music. Their sound draws from Old-Time, Bluegrass, Early Country, and Hillbilly Blues, woven together with soulful harmonies and the spirit of a front porch jam. The result is music that feels both timeless and fresh, carrying forward the deep roots of American folk traditions.
Nicholas Edward Williams is a songwriter, storyteller, and the voice behind American Songcatcher, known for reviving and reimagining the songs and stories of American folk. With Pickers Anonymous, he’s joined by two equally gifted players, creating a trio that captures the energy of community, heritage, and the joy of live music.
