Join Mostly Baroque, a Connecticut based ensemble dedicated to performing opera and instrumental music from the 17th and 18th centuries & Music Director Dr. David Hartman in their debut presentation of excerpts from Henry Purcell's great baroque opera "King Arthur" in Dean College's historic Marvin Chapel. Mostly Baroque has performed concerts for more than 25 years in diverse locations including Connecticut, Miami, NYC and the UK among others. Featured vocal soloists include Franklinites Liz (soprano) and Tim (tenor) Ayres-Kerr, Yi-Chun Sarah Tsai (mezzo-soprano) and Johan Hartman (bass baritone). The program will also include a rarely heard interpretation of Orpheus and Euridice (music by John Blow) by Liz and Tim. Dean College Students Avery McElya, Kylie Parsons, Syd McCoy, & Lucas Farlow will be joined by Matthew Packard to reprise last Fall's presentation of "The Cauldron Scene" from Richard Leveridge's Macbeth.
