Join GRAMMY®- and CMA-nominated artist; Texas Heritage Songwriter's Association Hall of Fame Member and legendary vocalist + slide guitar slinger Lee Roy Parnell for a very special, never-before-seen show Lee Roy Parnell: New Music, Deep Cuts & Of Course...The Hits! LIVE at The Franklin Theatre on Fri. Nov. 14, 2025 at 8 p.m.! In celebration of his return to this storied Franklin venue where he has such a rich history, Parnell set out to create a unique live performance that showcases a debut of several amazing new songs from his forthcoming album and his favorite "deep cuts" from his past albums (some of which he has never played live before) alongside many of his big hits—including a few that have not been in his show for many years. This is certain to be an extraordinary night of music you won't want to miss! With a repertoire including "A Little Bit Of You" (#1), "What Kind Of Fool Do You Think I Am" (#2), "Tender Moment" (#2), four other Top 10 hits: "Love Without Mercy," "On The Road," "I'm Holding My Own," and "Heart's Desire" and two other Top 15 hits: "When A Woman Loves A Man" (a moving collaboration with Trisha Yearwood) and"Givin' Water To A Drowning Man," Parnell has a deep well of timeless country hits to draw from. Fan favorites such as "Daddies and Daughters," "Lucky Me, Lucky You," "Right Where It Hurts," and "Hours In Between" also permeate his well-crafted, moving, and groove-filled catalog of songs.
During his storied career, Parnell has collaborated with many music legends including The Allman Brothers Band, Merle Haggard, BB King, Delbert McClinton, and Bonnie Raitt. Parnell has earned two GRAMMY® Award nominations for his instrumental tracks “Cat Walk” (with Flaco Jiménez) and “Mama, Screw Your Wig On Tight" (with his band, The Hot Links) and was nominated for the CMA Vocal Event of the Year on "John the Revelator" (with The Fairfield Four). In 2011, Parnell was presented with his most cherished honor: being inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Hall of Fame, joining the likes of such talented composers as Kris Kristofferson, Rodney Crowell, JD Souther, Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Mac Davis, and many other legendary singer/songwriters.
Parnell is one of the elite few Texas roots-music eclectics who can be identified as a triple threat: an ace guitarist known as one of the best slide guitarists in the world; a soulful, powerful vocalist; and a top-shelf songwriter. Combining the influences of Blue-Eyed Soul, Delta Blues, Roadhouse Rock, Southern Boogie, Texas Swing, Country, Gospel and more, Parnell's music runs the gamut of diversity and his sound defies conventional classification. He draws from a broad range of musical sources and combines them with seamless dexterity, and, unlike many other hard-to-pigeonhole artists, Parnell has enjoyed a run of success on both the country and blues charts. No Depression may have said it best when they called Lee Roy Parnell "a fine writer blessed with a rich, soulful vocal delivery and a blistering array of guitar chops drawn almost equally from Texas blues, Memphis soul, and Southern rock traditions."
