Spanning 208 acres in Franklin, Wisconsin, the Hunger Task Force Farm is a unique source of fresh produce and a vital community resource. Each growing season, with help from 5,000 volunteers, The Farm produces over half a million pounds of fruits and vegetables, the primary source of fresh produce distributed through our food bank to our network of local pantries, meal programs, and shelters across Milwaukee County. We invite you to join a comprehensive tour through our produce fields and orchards, where you will be introduced to the innovative methods and conservation measures that make our Hunger Task Force Farm uniquely suited to addressing hunger in our community.
• All ages welcome• Arrival 9:45 am (additional time needed for paperwork)• Tour begins at 10:15 and ends at 11:15• Attendees should dress accordingly for the weather. The tour is subject to cancellation if weather conditions are unfavorable.• Unsuitable for wheelchair access, tour travel is conducted safely on a flatbed trailer pulled by a tractor over uneven terrain.• All participants will remain on board throughout the tour.
