ℹ️ About This Event
Join us for an afternoon of creativity and Fall fun at Josephine Sculpture Park! We will get inspired on a 30-minute guided fall art and nature walk. Then, artist Heather Dent and Berea College students will guide us in creating a pumpkin sculpture.
🎃 Each participant will receive a pumpkin to transform into something truly unique. We will have carving tools and a variety of craft supplies available. We invite you to think beyond a simple jack-o-lantern to create something unexpected. You could build a fairy house, pirate ship, airplane — whatever your imagination comes up with!
🍂 We will gather in the event barn (rain or shine) and stay cozy with fall-themed hot teas and honey. Bring a mug and your imagination!
All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

🎨 ABOUT THE ARTIST: HEATHER DENT
Heather Dent is a community organizer, artist, and labor supervisor at Berea College. She cultivates opportunities for connection through art, events, and creating spaces for learning and creativity like the Berea Story Trail and Woodland Playscape.
Heather graduated from Berea College in 2011 with a degree in sociology. She was named Artist of the Year by the Berea Arts Council in 2023 and won the Elizabeth Perry Miles award for Community Service in 2025. She works with students through the Art in Action Initiative and the Appalachian Center to make art and outdoor opportunities accessible to people of all ages on campus and in the Berea community as a whole. Her work is inspired by a love for the earth and commitment to living sustainably. She challenges people to reimagine art, find beauty in ordinary everyday objects, and engage in creative play.
