👤 MEET THE AUTHOR: ANDY T. HANSON
Andy T. Hanson is a versatile author of science fiction, general fiction, and dystopian horror. After driving Abrams tanks in the US Army, Andy transitioned into life as a regional-stage actor, playwriter (notably Molly's Chamber), and quarterfinalist screenwriter (Paradise Valley).
On the strength of those successes, he moved into his ultimate goal: Sci-fi novels. The Despot Chronicles is his first foray into that world—a dystopian three-part epic series released by 4 Horsemen Publications, Inc.
Residing in Bay City, Michigan, Andy is an avid Detroit and Michigan sports fan. He finds time to write amidst a busy life packed with Lions games, golf, grilling with his big family (especially his wife Lauren and son Teddy), and devouring novels by his inspirations like George R.R. Martin, Stephen King, and Bernard Cornwell. Andy is particularly drawn to "gray," well-fleshed-out characters and loves watching a story grow of its own volition.
