Parent University: Mental Health Awareness

Our Parent University event on Wednesday, December 10, will focus on an important topic affecting children, teens, and families today - mental health. All staff members, parents, and community members are invited to attend.

With the help of Tina Sonders, Director of Special Education, and Dawn Kalk, Social Worker, we will dive into what parents need to know when it comes to anxiety and stress, and how they can best support their students. Topics include understanding what anxiety/stress looks like in teens, practical at-home strategies to help combat these feelings, school supports, and when to seek professional help or crisis. Whether you’re seeking advice or simply looking to learn more about this important issue, we hope you’ll join us for this impactful event.
