This November, as 4ZZZ’s EPIC 50th birthday program hits the home stretch, the creators of The EVIL ZED bring you an event set to wake up Brisbane’s underground! We’re acknowledging those who stood out when it was dangerous, and shaped the place where we all belong. GIG CITY isn’t just a party for 4ZZZ; it’s for the bands, DJs, dancers, promoters, activists, artists and fans who keep Meanjin’s alternative culture alive, kicking, and collectively electric!
With Zed as our guide through the decades, we’ve watched the counterculture evolve as Difference Became Defiance, and Defiance Became Community. We’re proud that our scenes are built on respect and raw creative energy!
