Voices of Color: Open Mic Night

Join us for an exciting open mic night focused on a thought-provoking question: how do we feel color? Hosted by Emmy award-winning artist Black Ceasar, the event showcases some of the Dallas-Fort Worth area’s most vibrant spoken word and musical talents, including featured artists Xxavier Edward Carter and Brandon Puryear.

Enjoy an evening filled with poetry, music, and community as we celebrate the artistic legacies of Aubrey Williams and Frank Bowling, whose work is on view through July 27 in the Modern’s special exhibition Feeling Color.

Please note that there will be a limited number of slots available for participation in the open mic, so be sure to arrive early to sign up! Doors open at 6:45 pm.

This performance is free and open to the public.
