About the event

Unlocking the Fort Worth Narcotic Farm
Join us at the Fort Worth History Center to learn about the history of Fort Worth narcotic farms! From 1938 to 1971, Fort Worth was home to one of two federal drug rehabilitation centers in the United States. Meet the authors of two books that delve into the history of the Fort Worth Narcotic Farm. This program is designed for adults.

Debbie Russell, author of Crossing Fifty-One, and Holly Karibo, author of Rehab on the Range, will present their research and discuss their resulting books. Their presentation is scheduled during National Recovery Month and will be followed by a Q&A.
