A 2-Hour Volunteer Church Safety TrainingThis safety course coaches church volunteers with the essential topics needed to help protect their congregation while maintaining a spirit of peace and service.

We start by recognizing the unique responsibility of safeguarding a place of worship. Every church should have a clear, consistent standard for safety, and that begins with proper training and qualifications.

Key Training Areas Covered:

Handgun Qualifications

Establishes a measurable standard of proficiency for those authorized to carry.

Ensures that armed volunteers can operate under pressure with accuracy, discipline, and safety.

Firearms Safety Fundamentals

Covers the four universal firearm safety rules and their practical application in a church environment.

Addresses safe carry, draw, and re-holstering techniques for crowded spaces.

Pepper Gel Less-Lethal Training

Provides an alternative to deadly force when the situation allows.

Teaches proper deployment, effective range, inert practice spray for participants, decontamination procedures.

Active Assailant Response

Builds a rapid, coordinated action plan for threats inside or near the church.

Includes movement strategies, communication practice, blank gunfire in your building, and role-player scenarios.

De-Escalation Skills

Equips volunteers to identify and calm potentially volatile situations before they escalate.

Focuses on verbal techniques, body language, and recognizing pre-attack indicators.

By the end of this session, every participant will understand the vital aspects in maintaining a safe worship environment. Participants will be able to bring this information back to their places of worship to build and maintain their safety teams.
