Join us for our 2025 McMurtry Lecture featuring Steve Inskeep where he will discuss his book "Differ We Must: How Lincoln Succeeded in a Divided America".

"Differ We Must" shows Lincoln’s life through sixteen encounters, some well-known, some obscure, but all with new significance. As the host of NPR’s Morning Edition for almost two decades, Steve Inskeep has mastered the art of building bridges with constructive debate in interviews; here, he shows his skills in a fresh and compelling narrative of Lincoln’s life. Rich detail and enlightening commentary expand our understanding of a politician who held to his moral compass while navigating between divisive politics, and ultimately succeeded in uniting a nation.
