Island - 03 Nest Evaluation

We will be evaluating nest Island - 03 at John Beasley Park in Fort Walton Beach (Okaloosa Island) on Wednesday August 27th at 6:45 pm. There is plenty of parking at the public access!

Please join us to learn about our sea turtles and how successful this nest was!

This is a nest evaluation being conducted 72 hours AFTER the nest has hatched. We will not be interfering with the incubation process at all. This is an assessment to determine how many eggs were laid and how many of them hatched and all of this data is related to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

All of this work is conducted by a permitted and trained team, Destin - Fort Walton Beach Sea Turtle Patrol, under FWC Marine Turtle Permit #251.
