Salabama: Special Screening

The Little River Canyon Center will be hosting a special screening of the Alabama Rivers Alliance's Southern Exposure Film Series: Salabama!

Meet the Director: Nicholas Hess is an award-winning storyteller and marine scientist dedicated to revealing the "weird and the wonderful" in the natural world. Blending journalism with cinematic filmmaking, Nicholas highlights critical wins and the challenges in the world of conservation. Join us to see how he uses his lens to advocate for the misunderstood—and often hidden—amphibians of Alabama.

Friday, March 20
10:00 am – Salamander hike at Canyon Mouth Park
8:00 pm – Night Hike at DeSoto State Park

Saturday - March 21
10:00 am – Salamander Hike on Powell Trail
2:30 pm – Screening of Salabama

Weather Notice: As with all outdoor programs, hikes may be canceled due to rain, storms, or unsafe trail conditions. If weather is questionable, please check with the Canyon Center before attending.
